We often hear from decorators and private parties who are looking for that one special piece that really makes a statement and serves as the focal point of a space.

And while they’re often already open to adding some unique metal products if they’ve sought us out, they do typically want those pieces to be more than art, more than designer conversation-starters. They want those elements to be functional, high quality, lasting pieces of furniture.

For these clients, we have a lot of fun building bookshelves, tables, and entertainment centers that fit the bill (and the space).

One of our favorites: The U-Shelf. This open-design entertainment center/shelving unit allows for easy access from both sides, making it ideal for electronic components while also enabling it to serve as a room separator – always a great idea for a small space!

Another consistent winner: The Swarf Table line. These urban chic, functionally artistic tables are made from upcycled swarf, making them ideal for conscious consumers and designers alike.

This table was designed by Matthew Warren. It is in the spirit of the cube and an ode to Sol Lewit. We have become pretty interested in merging our furniture designs with our electrical interests. Speaking specifically of the computers and gadgets we all interface with on a daily basis. It is time to address how we live with these things beyond cable management systems and hiding things in boxes. Furniture Design is now at the point that requires something more than “form meets function”. Function now dictates the need for electrical solutions that engage our desire to be organized. Form decides the solutions.

The Swarf Table is made from salvaged, laser cut, steel sheet drops. These are re-purposed for the beautiful and interesting patterns created from the industrial process. Each table is unique and sizes vary. Finishing options are raw with clear coat, painted, blackened, and raw unfinished for you to finish as you please. Glass can be provided upon request at an additional charge or you may order it locally to fit your table. We kind of like the table without glass!
